Content Strategist – Digital Shelf (CPG/Retail Platforms)
Pay Range:
$59.21/hr (depending on experience)
Overview A large consumer packaged goods (CPG) company is seeking a
Content Strategist
to lead digital content strategy across major online retailers including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, and Ulta.com. This role is pivotal in translating brand campaigns into optimized digital assets that drive conversion and elevate the digital shelf presence.
Key Responsibilities
Define retailer-specific content standards and best practices.
Translate brand marketing into actionable creative briefs for agencies.
Manage end-to-end content production workflows.
Build content toolkits for product launches.
Partner with PIM/DAM teams to ensure proper asset management.
Use performance data to drive ongoing content optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in digital marketing, content strategy, brand marketing, or creative agency roles.
Deep understanding of content requirements for retail platforms (Amazon A+, Walmart Rich Media, Target Enhanced Content).
Familiarity with PIM/DAM/Syndication systems (e.g., Salsify).
Strong grasp of SEO principles for the digital shelf.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams (Brand, Sales, Agencies).
Experience writing effective creative briefs.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple complex projects.
Nice to Have
Experience with CPG or beauty brands.
Familiarity with Profitero.
