Lead research initiatives that inform product strategy and design, driving user-centered decision-making across the product lifecycle. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering, to deliver impactful insights that shape the future of our products. Plan, design, execute, and analyze a wide range of user research studies, employing appropriate methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to address research questions. Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights that inform product decisions. Lead and contribute to multiple workstreams within and across business areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed. As needed, deliver complex projects impacting the business unit and participate in strategy for product team roadmaps. As needed, conduct rapid, iterative design-focused research in collaboration with product and design partners. Leverage a strong understanding of user and business needs to influence user-focused outcomes, incorporating questions and feedback into decision-making. Create artifacts that influence outcomes, consider diverse audiences, and balance vision with feasibility. May leverage tools like leading workshops and/or sprints. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, sharing relevant insights. Contribute to the growth and development of research best practices and methodologies within the team. What you’ll need
Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field (Graduate Degree preferred). Five (5)+ years of experience conducting user research in a product development setting. Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including: Industry-standard qualitative methods such as interviewing, usability testing, concept testing, diary studies, tree tests, card sorting, and journey mapping. Basic quantitative skills, including sample formulation, survey design and fielding, and descriptive analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and identify key insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings clearly and persuasively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated understanding of the tradeoff between rigor and speed in research. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A drive for learning and self-improvement, both in terms of research skills and product knowledge within financial services. Experience with advanced survey design (conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation, etc.). Experience with mixed-methods and/or multi-method research. Experience with advanced data analysis, inferential analysis, regression, etc. Experience with experimental research design. Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
