Director/Associate Director of Sales Operations

to serve as a critical member of the commercial team, reporting to the Executive Director Marketing and Field Operations. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team for current and future brands. This role oversees the strategic development and execution of all CRM platforms and master data management systems directly used by all field and inside sales personnel (if applicable), incentive compensation plans, sales targeting development, call plan development/upkeep, field alignments, and sales execution. The AD/Director of Sales Operations will collaborate with Insights and Analytics and Advanced Analytics for performance reporting, field effectiveness, and metric identification. In addition, the Director/AD of Sales Operations is responsible for fleet management for all US field-based teams. This position will also develop appropriate educational content in collaboration with the commercial teams including Sales Training to address any ongoing analytical education and tactical execution opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CRM platforms (including Veeva), all pharmaceutical sales metrics and data analytic tools and will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to deliver actionable insights, helping shape strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

CRM Management & Implementation:

Comprehensive knowledge of configuration, reporting and master data management capabilities. Sales Force Design, Alignment & Roster Management:

Manage alignment and targeting to address new product launches and maximize sales force effectiveness for the current product/portfolio. Manage and update master roster to integrate any field changes. Incentive Compensation (IC):

Create and manage all IC activities including goal setting and adjustments, monthly reporting, analysis and payouts. Manage external vendor partnerships to support the development of IC strategy, including modeling and simulation initiatives. Fleet Management:

Manage the Fleet program in accordance with policies focused on safety and financial efficiencies. Data Analytics:

Collaborate with Insights and Analytics to formulate all ongoing sales performance reporting including the optimization of data outputs and dashboards. Performance Monitoring:

Collaborate with Insights and Analytics to monitor field performance against targets using data-driven insights to guide commercial strategy and facilitate incentive compensation calculations. Promotional Response Analysis:

Collaborate with Advanced Analytics to inform a comprehensive system for tracking and monitoring all promotional touchpoints to optimize personal and non-personal marketing and sales efforts. Collaboration with Commercial Teams:

Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to understand data needs and provide insights that help shape sales and marketing strategies. Process Improvement & Automation:

Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of data management and reporting processes, making insights more accessible to non-technical teams. Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred. Proven Experience:

8-10 years of experience in sales operations, CRM management, and sales and financial data analysis required. Pharmaceutical industry experience is required. Eyecare experience preferred. Incentive Compensation Knowledge:

Experience with sales incentive compensation structures and performance tracking. Veeva/CRM:

Experience and proficiency in guiding the design and implementation of custom CRM applications and extracting data for activity and sales analysis. Collaboration & Communication:

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams. Problem-Solving Mindset:

A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying areas for process improvement and driving efficiency in reporting and analysis. Analytical Skills:

Strong ability to interpret complex sales data and provide meaningful insights that support commercial decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to guide/oversee/use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and other sophisticated data management and modeling tools.
