The Maintenance/Housekeeping Director will be responsible for all maintenance work inside and outside of the building, including resident suites and maintenance of grounds and exterior areas. Respond to repair and maintenance requests submitted by residents and employees. Supervise all maintenance and housekeeping staff and assign personnel to tasks according to daily work assignments. Repair and maintain building systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, and general facility systems; ensure safety and compliance. Perform routine maintenance inspections, schedule and supervise fire drills, and respond to emergency calls during all hours. Oversee housekeeping procedures, infection control practices, cleanliness, and sanitary conditions in assigned areas. Manage staffing needs, interview, hire, train staff in collaboration with the Business Office Manager; supervise and schedule staff; assist with new hire paperwork and timekeeping; conduct employee evaluations. Monitor departmental expenses to stay within budget for staffing and maintenance supplies. Submit accident/incident reports, code and submit invoices/receipts to the business office in a timely manner. Train personnel in proper chemical handling, cleaning methods, and equipment use; maintain safety and confidentiality of resident-care information. Maintain a well-organized workshop, keep replacement parts inventory, and establish vendor resources for repairs and supplies. Supervise as a back-up for the maintenance and housekeeping staff; collaborate with leadership to ensure safety and quality standards. Maintain driver’s license with clean driving record as required. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience:
One year minimum of related experience preferred. Job Knowledge:
Ability to use tools and equipment to repair and construct; knowledge of plumbing, electrical, alarm systems, appliances, HVAC, and related systems. Other:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, and maintenance instructions; strong English communication skills; valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Benefits
