Description : Executive Director Shall lead through vision and values while overseeing all day to day operations of the community, including team member relations, resident and family services and communication, resident well-being, activities, quality assurance, financial management, regulatory compliance, and all other aspects of community operations. Run the operations of the business as if it were your own. Must have a high business acumen and understand the overall operations of every department. Recruit, train and hire department managers to supervise daily operations of major departments; hire, discipline, and terminate department staff, schedule and staff departments, monitor performance, and lead inter-departmental relationships. Be approachable, fair-minded and communicate with clarity while showing confidence and enthusiasm. Maintain composure during stressful and emergent situations. Support department heads to ensure overall department efficiency and MorningStar standards. Act in the best interest of the community, drive for results, rally the team to achieve goals, and promote disciplined analysis of projects and problems. Serve as a Serving Leader, sharing power and prioritizing others’ needs to help team members develop and perform at a high level. Lead the sales culture in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director. Prepare and submit required reports as required by the company. Represent the community with federal, state and local government and private agencies. Observe activities to ensure compliance with MorningStar standards; engage with staff face to face to understand operations. Walk and observe the community daily; spend time in all departments. Ensure the community, grounds, and physical plant are always ready for visitors. Maintain a daily presence in Reflections during meals to ensure engagement and dining quality. Spend time in the dining room daily to ensure resident/family satisfaction and support the team during meals. Ensure compliance with company policies relating to resident care, HR, financial control, PR, maintenance of the physical plant, and update policies as needed with best practices. Accompany surveyors/consultants on inspections and health and life safety surveys; review deficiencies and submit plans of correction as needed. Evaluate performance with department heads and support annual performance reviews. Instruct staff to provide information regarding residents to authorized agencies while maintaining confidentiality and dignity. Maintain personal daily contact with residents and families. Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available, properly stored, and in working order. Be an active member of committees and maintain minutes and reports. Oversee community volunteer programs and outreach. Ensure managers utilize necessary tools such as expense management systems. Conduct regular meetings (daily stand-ups, weekly department head meetings, safety meetings, and monthly inter-departmental meetings). Qualifications

Demonstration of Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect. 3+ years Executive Director or related experience in a senior living environment. Financial expense and budget management experience. Human Resources: staffing, team member development, and policies oversight. Building maintenance and presentation. Facilitation of a sales culture. Experience leading an environment compliant with clinical requirements and best practices. Culinary excellence. Resident and family dialogue, activities, and relationship management. Education/Credentials/Job Knowledge: college degree preferred but not required if experience suffices; continuing education as required; applicable licensure; subject matter expertise in dementia care and senior living. Technology: proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn MorningStar applications. Time Management: ability to handle multiple priorities, weekends/evenings on call; willingness to work flexible hours. EEO Equal Opportunity Employer.
