We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for both fellowship-trained specialists and general psychiatrists with extensive child and family experience to join our behavioral health program. This is a role within a nationwide health system focused on improving the lives of children, adolescents, and their families.
The ideal candidate will lead program development with a strong clinical background and extensive knowledge to help grow the program, and will understand the developmental needs of children and adolescents in today’s world.
Our family-focused model leverages teams of psychiatric clinicians, therapists, wellness coaches, and case managers, and has demonstrated success as we continue to expand.

Our dedicated team focuses on improving the mental health of children, adolescents, and families by enhancing access to specialized psychiatric care, coordinating developmentally-appropriate health services, and providing evidence-based clinical programs. We aim to support families and guide them along their mental health journey toward healthier and happier lives.

What Will You Do? As our Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in our program by:
Performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents
Developing and monitoring age-appropriate treatment plans
Prescribing psychiatric medications with consideration of developmental factors
Collaborating with child therapists, family counselors, case managers, school personnel, and pediatric primary care physicians
Ensuring medication monitoring and adherence while considering developing minds and bodies
Providing psychiatric consultations and coordinating services with clients' pediatric primary care physicians and educational teams
Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and CHI guidelines
Working with diverse pediatric populations and addressing cultural, social, and developmental barriers to care
Qualifications Required:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school
Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
Prescriptive privileges – DEA Controlled Substances
Knowledge of evidence-based best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, trauma-informed care, developmental considerations, and family-centered treatment approaches
Understanding of childhood developmental milestones and age-appropriate interventions
Experience working with diverse pediatric populations across developmental stages
Preferred:
Board certification or board eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Completion of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency/fellowship training
Alternative consideration: MD/DOs with extensive relevant experience working with children and families (fellowship requirement may be waived for candidates with significant pediatric mental health experience)
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in child and adolescent mental health
Experience with school-based mental health services (welcomed but not required)
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus for some of our patients and families but not required
