Overview
Here at Fairview, we are hiring an MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Department at our University of MN Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) position that will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3PM - 11PM. This schedule will allow every Wednesday off. This position will include a new hire sign on bonus of up to $8,000!
Responsibilities
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
Performs high quality examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Required Qualifications
Technical Certificate and/or Associates Degree in Radiology
Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications
1 or more years of experience in a related role
Additional certifications in Imaging
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire.
