Job Overview
We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team at our University of MN Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 0.9 FTE Non-Traditional Weeknight Baylor Position (work 24 hours per week, paid for 36 hours per week ) position that will work Wednesday through Friday from 10:00PM - 6:00AM with a weekend call rotation.
The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).
This position is eligible for a new hire sign on bonus of up to $9,000!
Responsibilities
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
Performs high quality examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Required Qualifications
Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Basic Life Support
Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience in a related role
Additional certifications in Imaging
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire.
