Overview
Tesla is looking for a strategic planner to manage the demand side of the S&OP process. This role will oversee the demand side of the S&OP process: sales forecasting, supply-demand reporting, market research, and executive reporting. This role can be based in Fremont, CA, Reno, NV, and Austin, TX.
What You'll Do
Oversee the tools and process for the global sales forecast process, supporting local teams in their forecasting as well as developing a consolidated global perspective on demand outlook
Meet with local teams weekly to understand key trends, debrief on recent events, and create accountability for forecast accuracy
Oversee global sales event tracking, including tracking historical events, aligning on upcoming events, reporting on ongoing events, and measuring the effectiveness of programs as they actualize
Work with SQL and our in-house ERP system to maintain and improve our global supply-demand reporting
Monitor global supply-demand to understand key changes and identify imbalances. Make build adjustment recommendations as needed to the build planning teams
Lead back end and front end consolidation of market data into a global framework for market research (market share, market sizing, elasticity, macro trends, competitive trends, etc.)
Take point on ad hoc executive reporting for CEO and VP level S&OP requests as needed
What You'll Bring
Degree in Economics, Business/Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or equivalent experience
Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
SQL skills preferred
5+ years related experience in a consulting, finance, planning, analytics, or operations role
Supply chain or manufacturing industry experience a plus
Ability to work cross-functionally and build organic support for key initiatives
Excellent judgment and ability to proactively anticipate complex chain-reaction impacts of plans
Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $156,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
