Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by establishing and maintaining guest services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control. The minimum age requirement is 18 and the candidate must have a flexible schedule. The physical demands of the job include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Prior retail management experience is required.
Responsibilities
Support the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
Help maintain guest services and drive sales and profitability.
Develop store staff and manage merchandising and inventory control.
Monitor expenses and shrinkage to protect store assets.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18; flexible schedule.
Prior retail management experience required.
Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, climb ladders, set up fixtures, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate ranges from $17.00 to $17.25 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.
Benefits include Illinois Paid Leave, Set-Up and Tear Down Premium Pay Programs, End of Season Premium Pay Program. All bonus and pay programs subject to qualifications.
Location & Scope Shorewood, IL and surrounding areas.
