Director of Operations
– This role will play a strategic part on a dedicated team as it continually strives to over-deliver on client expectations. The company specializes in Destination Management Services as well as the design and production of special events. They are looking for a career-minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment where excellence is the norm. The successful team player will be innovative, able to create logistical solutions, and provide leadership to Account Managers in program operations. Required: 5+ years of hospitality and leadership experience; DMC experience is necessary. Summary of position
The primary responsibilities are to help design and then lead program operations (potentially in other destinations), attract, retain, and teach future Account Managers in best practices for program operations. To succeed, you must be an expert in services such as group transportation, theme décor and entertainment, tours, activities, off-site events, and other traditional destination management services. You must also be able to manage people by providing daily guidance on maximizing their effectiveness and serving as a mentor to aid their development. Tasks include leading the Operations team, proposal creation including pricing and costing (and/or providing detailed direction to help support staff when they create the proposal), site inspections, vendor negotiation, identifying and scheduling quality part-time field staff, leading program operations, and creating the final invoice to the client. This position is based on client needs, and will require you to work days, evenings, and/or nights as well as holidays and weekends, as needed. Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of operations management or a combination of management and Director experience in hospitality DMC experience required Strong organization, time management, and communication skills Proficiency in Excel and Word One-on-one interpersonal skills, outgoing and positive attitude Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members Compensation & Benefits
