Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to join a leading real estate investment platform based in Miami, FL. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s accounting, financial reporting, and systems implementation to support a growing and sophisticated global investment portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function across multiple investment vehicles, including funds, joint ventures, and corporate entities.
• Deliver accurate and timely fund, investor, and JV reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements across global markets.
• Oversee financial controls, policies, and procedures to support best-in-class governance.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, including system upgrades and technology implementations.
• Play a key role in evaluating and implementing platforms such as Yardi, MRI, or Argus to optimize reporting and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Qualifications

• Extensive accounting experience within private equity, real estate investment, or related sectors.
• Proven track record in fund, investor, and JV reporting.
• Experience implementing accounting or portfolio management systems (Yardi, MRI, Argus, or similar).
• Exceptional technical accounting skills and the ability to operate strategically at senior leadership level.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Location

The role is based in Miami, FL. Candidates considering relocation to Miami will be supported and considered.
