Senior Account Executive

REQ, an Agital Company, is seeking a strategic, resourceful, and self-starting Senior Account Executive to join our growing Public Relations team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between our clients and internal teams, managing day-to-day operations while helping to shape and drive high-impact PR and integrated marketing strategies. This is more than a tactical role—you will be a key strategic partner to clients, offering thoughtful counsel, delivering outstanding work, and mentoring junior team members along the way. Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple PR client accounts, delivering proactive, strategic guidance and building trusted client relationships. Lead the planning and execution of integrated campaigns, including earned media, social, and content marketing efforts. Translate complex client needs into actionable strategies, leveraging market insights and performance data. Write and edit high-impact content including executive messaging, press materials, bylined articles, and award submissions. Coordinate and lead media opportunities—securing placements, managing interviews, and helping clients refine messaging. Collaborate across REQ teams (PR, Creative, Paid Media, Development) to ensure seamless campaign execution. Coach and mentor junior team members through feedback, training, and professional development. Monitor budgets, track KPIs, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Identify opportunities for account growth, upsells, and improved client value. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in Client Services, PR, or Account Management roles. Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and drive successful client outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting complex, high-stakes content. Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, WordPress, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.). Experience across multiple digital marketing channels and comfort with performance metrics and analytics. Prior experience in media relations or public affairs is a plus. Comfort working both independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
