Job Details – OBGYN RN Travel Nurse

• Job Title: OBGYN Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Port Lavaca, Texas 77979 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, Travel Nurse Assignment
• Healthcare Setting: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, Level I Maternal and Neonatal Care
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 11/12/2025 – End: 2/18/2026)
• Departments: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, Lactation, Antepartum
• Average Deliveries: 15-20 per month
• EMR System: OBIX

Qualifications – OBGYN Registered Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state)
• Nursing certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in OBGYN, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, or maternal care
• Proficient in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Strong assessment and clinical skills
• Rural healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a cross-trained, small team environment
• Familiarity with OBIX EMR system is a plus

Key Responsibilities – OBGYN RN Travel Nurse

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, Lactation, and Antepartum units
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal status, and respond to emergencies
• Collaborate with a skilled healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Accurately document care using OBIX EMR
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
