Director for Advancing Energy Ecopreneurship – Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, Stanford, California, United States This is a two-year fixed term position with the possibility of renewal dependent on programmatic need and budgetary availability. The position is based on Stanford’s main campus with consideration for a hybrid work schedule (partially onsite and offsite), subject to operational need. Seeking Director, Advancing Energy Ecopreneurship

– The Director must lead energy ecopreneurship within the Precourt Institute for Energy, with entrepreneurship and energy industry experience preferred. The role requires creativity and strong engagement with students. The Director will: Establish strategic vision and lead a program for advancing energy entrepreneurship at Stanford, including co-curricular student initiatives. Apply thought leadership on energy entrepreneurship and communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and manage key partnerships with 150+ affiliated faculty, 39 student clubs, d.school faculty, and leaders at related centers, as well as external entities to advance energy entrepreneurship. Represent energy ecopreneurship beyond Stanford to open pathways for entrepreneurship. Support strategic fundraising opportunities and oversee sustainability of the program. Coordinate with Ecopreneurship initiatives across the Doerr School of Sustainability, Precourt Institute, and related programs; engage with the Stanford Venture Studio – Ecopreneur Circle and related programs. Advise on technology venture evaluation for energy transitions and assist with pitches to venture investors. Guide graduate students on commercialization pathways for sustainability-focused faculty innovations. Develop tracking and metrics for innovation exploration and technology commercialization. Teach or co-teach courses related to entrepreneurship in energy transitions and sustainability; shape curriculum and co-curricular opportunities. Serve as an on-campus resource for energy-focused students seeking coaching from ideation to launch. Expand on-ramps for energy entrepreneurs by activating alumni mentors within the Ecopreneurship network. Act as Innovation Coach for energy-focused Eco-Sprint. * The job duties listed are typical examples and not a comprehensive inventory of all duties. Specific duties may vary by department or program. Core Duties

Lead and oversee development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of programs; analyze, report, and implement improvements; ensure policies and procedures are followed. Lead strategic planning for the program/entity. Represent the entity or program to the broader university and external community; provide expert consultation related to program development and funding opportunities. Develop outreach and fundraising strategy; identify external funding opportunities, write proposals, and oversee financial sustainability. Teach or co-teach courses; oversee course administration; contribute to curriculum development and student mentoring. Coach and mentor program staff. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience:

Advanced degree and five years of relevant experience in the area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Experience with budgeting and financial planning; ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources. Advanced oral, written, and analytical skills; fluency in the area of specialization. Ability to oversee and direct staff. Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans. Certifications and Licenses: For teaching roles, an advanced degree or certification may be required for some programs. Preferred Qualifications Enthusiasm to work with students and build lasting connections; knowledge of Stanford as a student is preferred but not required. Creativity and passion to create a positive program for Stanford students and broad impact in sustainability. Ability to build relationships across Stanford’s energy ecosystem and with external partners. Ability to mentor students, connect them to resources, and help chart career paths. * Consistent with its obligations under the law, the University will provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities. The expected pay range for this position is

$139,741 to $179,496
