Overview A large teaching hospital and their affiliated academic medical group in Northern California is excited to recruit additional passionate and dedicated physicians to join their Neurology Department. This is an exciting opportunity to mentor and train the next generation of neurologists in an academically driven, supportive environment, while also benefiting from all the advantages of a busy and lucrative privademic setting. The medical group is proud of their environment of collaboration and inclusion, prioritizing the active involvement of all faculty members in managing the program.

This experienced team is excited to welcome Neurologists with a variety of interests to develop majority sub-specialized practices alongside some teaching with the department''s neurology residents in continuity clinic. Those sub-specializing in Epilepsy, Neurophysiology (EEG, EMG, NCSs, EPs), Neuromuscular, Movement Disorders, Behavioral/Memory, Neuroimmunology, or Headache can be well supported, but all with outpatient clinical interests are welcome to apply.

Opportunity

350+ bed Medical Center expanding to over 500 in 2030

State of the Art Educational Training Facility including simulation labs and smart classrooms

~90% Clinical activity including Teaching residents and medical students/~10% Protected Time

Support for those looking to bring research and funding; potential for additional Protected Time; IRB

Stroke-focused role - 7-on/7-off schedule; fellowship required

Hybrid Inpatient/Outpatient role - 1 week of 7-days inpatient; 3 weeks of 3-day Tue-Thu outpatient clinic

Outpatient clinical role - M-F, 8-5; general consult Inpatient coverage between 3 and 8 weeks per year

Strong support for sub-specialization - up to 30% General Neurology and assistance staffing resident continuity clinic

All night call covered by tele-neurology, with future plans for residents to take first call

Primary Stroke Center, working towards Comprehensive Stroke Center

Neurocritical Care interests and covering Neurology patients in the general ICU can be supported alongside a Stroke-focused role

Dedicated Neuro-ICU to open in 2030 with new hospital expansion

Plans for expanding epilepsy services soon, including 2-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

Active in-patient consultation and ward service

Clinical Faculty Track with Rank and Promotion in accordance with faculty policy

Compensation & Benefits
