$65,000-$70,000 per year (based on level of credentials) Hours:

Immediate Position Description

A Mental Health Clinical Practitioner will establish helping relationships with people who have psychiatric and co-occurring substance abuse disabilities. The primary role of the practitioner is to assist individuals to connect with and utilize formal and natural resources critical to attaining and maintaining productive, healthy, and satisfying lifestyles. Key activities include individual rehabilitative goal planning, group work using a psycho-educational format, provide clinical counseling and therapy and teamwork with multi-disciplinary colleagues within an OMH licensed PROS program. Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and abilities: Experience with providing individual clinical counseling/therapy to participants with Co-Occurring (MH/SU) challenges Excellent inter-personal communication, including the ability to establish empathic, empowering relationships with people who have experienced psychiatric and substance abuse disabilities and trauma; Strong communication skills with health professionals is also required. Service planning and record-keeping in a psychiatric rehabilitation, person centered practice and recovery-directed framework; sound knowledge of the Behavioral Health services system (OMH, OASAS). Excellent documentation skills and demonstrated proficiency in use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR). Excellent organizational, time management and computer/technology skills. Proficient in the use of current technology: desktop applications, smart phone apps, MS Office 365, Zoom, etc. Training and understanding in substance abuse and/or learning disabilities a plus Knowledge and experience with Cognitive Behavioral practice is a plus Knowledge/interest in Dual Diagnosis recovery a plus Persons with bi-lingual skills and personal experience are highly encouraged to apply. Master’s degree from a qualified, clinical Graduate program in a Behavioral Health/Human Service field; with an active NYS licensure in the following LPHA disciplines: LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, LPA; and at least 2 years post-Master’s and licensed experience. Application
