Were seeking a full-time or part-time GP to join The Alliance Medical Group, part of Sunderland GPAlliance, serving around 25,000 patients across three practices in Washington and Sunderland. Youll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and specialists in safeguarding and learning disabilities delivering integrated, patient-focused care. As a teaching and training organisation, we host GP registrars and students from medical, nursing, and paramedic backgrounds, while supporting professional growth through mentorship, peer learning, and career development. Sunderland GP Alliance runs three medical practices at New Silksworth Medical Practice, South Hylton Surgery and Monument Surgeries. Job responsibilities

Clinical Duties: Provide high-quality patient care through surgery, home visits, and telephone consultations. Make professional, autonomous decisions on undifferentiated and complex presentations. Conduct triage, manage repeat prescriptions, and respond to patient queries efficiently. Screen patients for early signs of illness and proactively manage long-term conditions. Develop care plans in line with current clinical protocols. Deliver patient education and health promotion advice. Prescribe safely, adhering to Practice and CCG formulary guidance. Engage in continuous professional development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance patient care. Practice Responsibilities: Participate in audit, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain compliance with clinical coding and data entry standards. Contribute to health and safety compliance and the safeguarding of patients. Attend meetings and engage in peer support and training initiatives. Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards for all patient and staff information. Training and Development: Actively participate in personal and team development programmes. Share expertise and support the professional growth of colleagues. Engage in peer networks to strengthen clinical practice across the Alliance. Qualifications

Fully qualified GP with GMC registration Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate) General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained On/eligible to be on a medical performers list Enhanced DBS check UK driving licence Current CPR certificate UK work permit (if required) Evidence of continued professional development Other Post Graduate Diplomas Experience/interest in research Experience/interest in teaching/training Experience

Successfully Completed General Practice Specialist Training Appropriate range of previous experience in hospital posts Clinical and Information Governance Self-audit and reflection Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork Time management, prioritising work and working under pressure Experience of working in EMIS-Web Other
