Opportunity Highlights
Full-time, 36-hour night shift role (standard schedule). Serve in a key leadership role overseeing L&D operations during overnight hours. Support safe, quality care within a 24/7 acute care environment. Lead clinical and administrative functions with a focus on performance improvement. Oversee daily clinical operations, allocate resources, and ensure regulatory compliance. Foster a supportive, team-based environment for staff, patients, and families. Line staff reports to ANM; ANM reports directly to Department Manager.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate unit operations, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and safety requirements.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to staff.
Monitor patient care quality, operational workflows, and staff performance.
Oversee patient placement, supply use, and adherence to staffing and productivity goals.
Participate in emergency preparedness and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure survey readiness and assist with audits, documentation, and follow-up.
Assist in strategic planning and change management initiatives.
Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of hire).
American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
NRP certification.
Associate’s degree in Nursing or related field (BSN preferred).
At least 2 years of L&D patient care experience in an acute care setting.
At least 1 year of leadership experience (e.g., Charge RN, Preceptor, or Educator).
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a Magnet facility.
Union environment experience.
Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance.
Exposure to strategic project work and quality/safety improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $193,000 – $197,000 annually.
Eligible for annual performance-based raises and bonus programs.
