Structured Youth Respite Provider Caring for Two Siblings
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and understanding respite provider to care for two siblings. This role involves providing structured supervision, engaging activities, and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment your own home!
The ideal provider will be proactive and calm, with a talent for creating predictable routines and firm but supportive boundaries where children can thrive.
Location: Eau Claire, WI Starting Wage: $17.66/hour Schedule: Planned in advance with parent
Key Responsibilities Provide safe, attentive care in the provider's home during scheduled respite hours. Supervise toileting: both children are daytime potty trained and independent, but require an adult nearby (right outside the door). Ensure separate sleeping and changing arrangements for each child. Maintain a structured, predictable environment with firm boundaries and consistent routines. Utilize visual monitoring (cameras in the home are preferred) for added safety. Engage children in appropriate activities while following set schedules. Respond calmly and consistently to oppositional or defiant behaviors. Qualifications Experience working with children who display behavioral challenges. Ability to create and maintain a structured, routine-based environment. Strong supervision skills and attentiveness to safety. Firm but supportive approach to behavior management. (Preferred) No additional respite children or young children present in the home during care. About the Children Independent with toileting but need very close supervision. Thrive on structure, routine, and clear expectations. Behaviors decrease when boundaries are consistent and routines are maintained. Love being outdoors and playing in the dirt! Why Join Us?
