Sanitation Supervisor/3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor

Overview

The sanitation supervisor supervises sanitation personnel and assists the sanitation manager in other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises sanitation workers on any shift. (30%)
• Manages daily workload, trains staff, and handles performance reviews and goal setting. (15%)
• Oversees all sanitation functions. (15%)
• Monitors staffing to reduce costs and increase efficiencies. (7.5%)
• Responsible for training all new sanitation workers in proper cleaning SSOP\'s, chemical use and safety procedures. (7.5%)
• Schedules major cleanup projects with production supervisors. (5%)
• Maintains chemical usage and cleaning logs. (5%)
• Responsible for inventory and storing of sanitation supplies. (5%)
• Manages detailed cleaning tasks as per production schedule and master sanitation schedules. (5%)
• Manages the preparation and execution of sanitation audits.
• Understands and complies with FSMA requirements. (Continually)
• Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
• Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
• Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to (5%)
• Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
• Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in sanitation in a food environment required
• Supervisory experience required
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and of food handling preferred
• Computer literate
• Ability to follow verbal directions
• English required, Spanish a plus.
