The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a board certified/eligible orthopaedic surgeon with a medical doctorate degree specializing in
orthopaedic spine deformity
to join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Associate, or Professor rank on the University Medical Line (UML) or in the Clinician Educator (CE) Line. Responsibilities
Provide surgical and non-surgical care for orthopaedic patients. Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students. Produce scholarly work in the candidate’s major areas of interest. Contribute to clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service as appropriate to the programmatic need and line (UML or CE). Appointments and Ranking
Academic rank and line will be determined by qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful candidate should be eligible for a California Medical License. The major criteria for appointment are the following: University Medical Line: excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Clinician Educators: excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Qualifications
The candidate should be eligible for a California Medical License. Compensation
Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor: $310,000-350,000 Associate Professor or Clinical Associate Professor: $310,000-350,000 Professor or Clinical Professor: $310,000-350,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
