Senior Gameplay Engineer, Missions - Unannounced Game at Blizzard. You will collaborate with designers and artists to create, develop, and deliver high-quality AAA missions, support the development of code frameworks, functional components, workflows, and content-creation tools, and drive improvements in engine technology. This role is anticipated to be a full-time, hybrid position with some on-site and some remote work. The potential home studio is Irvine, CA. Responsibilities

Leverage experience to deliver best-in-class player experiences from end to end within the constraints of game simulation. Empower designers, artists, and other engineers to deliver the game vision and ensure players are entertained and delighted. Collaborate with designers and engineers on gameplay teams to understand needs and offer technical solutions. Optimize team productivity by supporting content-creation pipelines, tool development, and workflow improvements. Champion Blizzard’s core values. Qualifications

8+ years of experience in gameplay engineering or a combination of applicable training and experience. Experience delivering AAA-quality features as part of cross-functional teams (designers, artists, animators, level designers, FX artists, etc.). Experience working on real-time 3D games. Production-grade C++ code and ability to make readable, well-tested code commits. Strong communication to articulate vision, ideas, and feedback; excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Experience analyzing game features for performance and optimizing for release quality. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams with diverse mindsets; mentorship mindset and a proactive attitude to help others level up. Extra points: computer science, mathematics, physics or related degree; experience shipping AAA titles for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation; Unreal Engine experience (C++ and Blueprint); experience with large codebases; experience on online multiplayer games. The U.S. base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 annually. Eligible employees may also receive incentive compensation. Details vary by location and individual factors; compensation is negotiable and dependent on experience and performance.
