Overview Fairmont Austin is Austin's largest luxury property with 1,048 guestrooms and suites and over 140,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Marketing & Social Media Manager supports the strategic marketing direction of the hotel by guiding digital and online perception, content creation for digital and social channels, and driving revenue growth aligned with the hotel’s brand positioning.

Responsibilities

Guide content creation for digital and social channels and manage paid social media campaigns.

Propose and execute social marketing and strategy plans to promote revenue growth and support brand positioning.

Leverage influencer collaborations and work with communications and e-Commerce teams to develop paid campaigns with lifestyle blogs, publications, and local/national partners.

Collaborate with corporate teams and destination marketing organizations to achieve revenue growth goals.

Lead growth and development of aspiring leaders and participate in hotel-wide initiatives and committees in a leadership capacity.

Execute and track performance for internal and external social media campaigns, promotions, advertising, and websites.

Act as liaison between the hotel and Accor marketing support, outside agencies, and contracted vendors/service providers as determined by the Director of Communications.

Develop and manage an annual social media marketing budget and present opportunities for revenue and engagement growth to leadership.

Demonstrate photography and videography proficiency and a visual eye suitable for a luxury market.

Integrate social accounts with the Fairmont Austin website and identify ways to increase visibility to potential guests.

Understand and apply SEO best practices to drive website traffic and revenue opportunities from social media.

Map the consumer journey to optimize opportunities that increase bookings, engagement, and revenue.

Collaborate with the marketing, revenue, distribution, and reservations teams to best serve Fairmont Austin.

Manage vendor relationships with technology and marketing partners and escalate issues with proposed solutions.

Qualifications Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or public relations

3+ years marketing, social media and/or public relations experience

Knowledge of marketing communication mediums including print advertising, e-Commerce, and social media

Excellent knowledge of Facebook Business Manager and paid social media platforms

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable with reel and video editing a plus

Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office, Word, and Outlook

Creative thinker with a strong visual sense for luxury brands

Highly organized, results-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure

Ability to travel if necessary

Preferred Experience

Hotel industry marketing experience

Photography or videography capture, editing, or management

Events and public relations experience

Canva and graphic design program proficiency

Work Environment

Work operates in a luxury hotel environment.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting and walking for extended periods throughout the day.
