Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer provides onsite IT support for customers and internal teams. This role focuses on managing and optimizing virtual desktop infrastructure using Omnissa Horizon across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Key responsibilities include device and app management via Workspace ONE UEM, supporting Mac devices with Horizon MDM, and leading cloud migration efforts from VMware Cloud on AWS to Nutanix NC2. The engineer will configure App Volumes for real-time application delivery, build and automate Windows 10/11 images, and design disaster recovery solutions. Additional duties include securing access with OneLogin and Okta, automating tasks with PowerShell and REST APIs, providing Tier 3 support, maintaining documentation, and evaluating emerging technologies. Experience with Google Workspace and GCP administration is also essential. Responsibilities
Manage and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure using Omnissa Horizon (Cloud Pod, Instant Clones) across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. 5+ years in enterprise-level VDI or End User Computing. Hands-on experience with: Omnissa Horizon (Cloud Pod, Instant Clones) Workspace ONE (UEM, Access) App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager Windows image creation and automation Mac support experience using Horizon MDM Knowledge of virtualization platforms: vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VMware Cloud on AWS, Nutanix NC2 Experience with Google Workspace and GCP IAM Familiarity with OneLogin and Okta administration Preferred Skills
PowerShell and Python scripting AWS EC2 services (Auto Scaling, Warm Pools) Windows server builds using Chocolatey and Packer Strong hands-on experience with AWS Seniority level
