Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
– Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Are you a strategic HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-paced, performance-driven environments? Do you love being embedded with the business, solving complex employee relations challenges, and driving high-impact performance management initiatives? A leading global financial services organization is seeking an Assistant Vice President, HR Business Partner to join its growing HR team in Chicago. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role supporting senior leadership and serving as a trusted advisor across multiple business units. What You’ll Do Serve as a true HRBP to client groups, advising leaders on employee relations, performance coaching, compensation decisions, and workforce planning Lead performance management cycles — from calibration discussions to improvement plans and leadership coaching Partner closely with HR peers to elevate employee engagement, retention strategies, and talent programs Act as a confidant and coach to leaders, helping navigate sensitive people situations with professionalism and discretion Operate in a high-touch, responsive, “white glove” HR model — excellence and urgency are expected Ideal Background 5–8 years of HRBP or HR Generalist experience (individual contributor with direct business ownership) Strong track record managing complex ER matters, performance conversations, and coaching leaders Experience in financial services or fast-moving professional environments (consulting, PE-backed, high-growth, etc.) Naturally solutions-oriented, calm under pressure, and energized by rolling up your sleeves during busy cycles Seniority level
