Senior Content Manager, People Managing People (USA) — Lead the program for People Managing People. Manage a team of editors and own a cross-channel strategy spanning editorial, ebooks, newsletters, podcasts, events, video, and social. Repurpose content across formats and ensure everything published is useful, credible, and performance-driven. What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
Lead cross-channel content strategy and roadmap: Own the content roadmap, decide what we create, update, and optimize across channels based on performance data, business goals, and audience needs. Extend stories across editorial, podcasts, newsletters, video, social, and events; repurpose content for maximum impact. Evolve editorial methodology to align with the mission to help readers future-proof their organizations. Ground decisions in SEO, user feedback, competitive research, data sources, and emerging audience needs—especially around AI and the future of project delivery. Elevate content quality and innovation: Oversee site-wide content quality and clarity. Write and contribute first-person content on high-priority topics; contribute to interviews, podcasts, and digital PR opportunities. Test, launch, and scale new formats—interactive tools, visual storytelling, surveys, and beyond. Surface emerging reader needs by talking to users and testing tools, with focus on AI topics. Embed and scale AI-powered content systems: Work with content operations to integrate AI across workflows—from templates to publishing and optimization. Coach editors to participate in earned media and thought leadership in partnership with the Digital PR Lead. Grow and empower a high-performing content team: Manage and mentor editors and contributors; provide structured feedback and career development. Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation at the intersection of AI innovation and content leadership. How Your Success Will Be Measured
Content output: Volume of high-quality net-new and updated articles published monthly, aligned to roadmap goals. Content quality & clarity: Adherence to editorial standards and improvements in engagement, UX, and time-to-publish. Performance impact: Growth in keyword rankings, organic traffic, newsletter sign-ups, and conversions for AI, project delivery, and PM tools. AI-powered scalability: Improvements to templates, workflows, and AI processes that increase quality and efficiency. Team development: Editorial growth, faster content cycles, and higher quality contributions. Thought leadership readiness: Participation in media, interviews, and PR opportunities in partnership with the Digital PR Lead. Your Skillset Includes
5–7+ years in organic content strategy or editorial leadership with a track record of scaling programs. Strong foundation in business management and leadership, with experience in HR/tools, able to translate to high-value content. Proven experience managing content teams or freelancers in fast-paced environments. Deep knowledge of SEO, user intent, and content UX; ability to create content that ranks and converts. Advanced experience with AI-assisted content production, including prompt design and integrating AI into publishing processes. Strong research, interviewing, and storytelling skills; ability to turn complex concepts into clear narratives. Excellent cross-functional communication and project management with stakeholders across SEO, media, operations, and leadership. Data-driven decision making with familiarity with GA4, Ahrefs, WordPress, and Airtable. Curiosity about future of organizational leadership and a passion for helping others adapt and thrive. Experience contributing expert commentary or appearing in thought leadership content. Familiarity with PR/media collaboration and working with outreach teams. Background in content UX, accessibility, or conversion-oriented design. Salary and Benefits
This full-time position is remote in the USA with an annual base salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 USD. Salary ranges are guidelines based on skills, knowledge, experience, and market data. Fringe benefits include a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Roles outside the USA or different seniority levels may have different ranges. About Us
