Senior Content Manager, People Managing People (USA) at Black & White Zebra. This role leads the program for People Managing People, manages a team of editors, and owns a cross-channel strategy spanning editorial, ebooks, newsletters, podcasts, events, video, and social. You will repurpose content across formats, bridge community conversations with the editorial roadmap, and ensure everything published is useful, credible, and performance-driven. Ground the content roadmap in audience insight—from SEO and competitive research to direct user feedback—while spotting emerging needs leaders don’t know they have yet. With leadership experience and curiosity about AI, you’ll sharpen the editorial voice, bring clarity to complexity, and position People Managing People as the go-to source for future-ready leadership. You will explore and scale new content experiences that deepen engagement and strengthen competitive edge, and you’ll coach editors to do the same. You’ll collaborate with Content Ops, SEO, Media, and Events teams to align efforts and continually raise quality and efficiency. Responsibilities

Lead cross-channel content strategy and roadmap: Own what we create, update, and optimize across channels based on performance data, business goals, and audience needs. Extend stories across editorial, podcasts, newsletters, video, social, and events; repurpose content for maximum impact. Evolve editorial methodology to ensure every piece aligns with our mission to help readers future-proof their organizations. Ground decisions in SEO, user feedback, competitive research, data sources, and emerging audience needs—especially around AI and project delivery. Elevate content quality and innovation: Oversee site-wide content quality and clarity; contribute first-person content on high-priority topics where thought leadership and SME insights are essential. Contribute to interviews, podcasts, and digital PR; represent the brand externally and amplify editorial voice. Test, launch, and scale new formats—interactive tools, visual storytelling, surveys, and beyond—that engage readers in fresh ways. Surface emerging reader needs by talking to users and testing tools, with a special focus on AI topics. Embed and scale AI-powered content systems: Work with content operations to integrate AI across the content workflow—from templates to publishing and optimization—and refine processes to scale responsibly. Coach editors to participate in earned media and thought leadership opportunities in partnership with the Digital PR Lead. Grow and empower a high-performing content team: Manage and mentor editors and contributors, providing structured feedback, editorial development, and career support. Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation that keeps the team at the forefront of AI innovation and leadership content. Collaborate cross-functionally: Align content with SEO, product marketing, events, and partnerships to build trust, authority, and a strong editorial voice across channels. Qualifications

5–7+ years in organic content strategy, editorial leadership, or content marketing with a track record of scaling programs and driving measurable growth. Strong foundation in business management, people leadership, HR/people operations, with experience using tools like HRIS, ATS, onboarding platforms, or performance management systems, and ability to translate that experience into high-value content. Proven success in managing content teams or freelancers in fast-paced environments; ability to balance coaching, quality, and efficiency. Deep knowledge of SEO, user intent, and content UX; ability to create content that ranks, converts, and helps readers. Advanced experience with AI-assisted content production, including prompt design and workflow tuning; integrating AI into templates and publishing processes to increase quality and efficiency. Strong research, interviewing, and storytelling skills; ability to turn complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives. Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills; experience working with SEO, media, operations, and leadership stakeholders. Data-driven decision making with performance reporting, testing frameworks, and content analytics. Familiar with GA4, Ahrefs, WordPress, and Airtable. Curiosity about the future of organizational leadership and a passion for helping others adapt and thrive. Nice To Haves

Experience contributing expert commentary or appearing in thought leadership content. Familiarity with PR/media collaboration and working with outreach or communications teams. Background in content UX, accessibility, or conversion-oriented design for content. Salary and Benefits

This full-time position is remote for USA-based candidates with a base salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 USD per year. A discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package are available. Salary ranges vary by candidate location, seniority, and market data. About Us
