The following are the duties of this position at the

GS-15 . If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

As a

Supervisory Physical Security Specialist , you will:

Manage and direct the security and protection services for the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Deputy Secretary.

Serve as a technical expert and direct the development, implementation, and operation of a program to protect and ensure the safety and security of the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, visiting dignitaries, or others from an entire spectrum of threats.

Lead and direct crisis management planning, execution, and other emergency situations.

Provide planning advice and recommendations on new policy, resolution of complex vulnerabilities, crisis management, and threat response.

Oversee the Protective Services detail in conducting advance protection surveys for individuals who, because of their position, are vital to the continuity of U.S. Government and to national security.
