Pediatric Neuromuscular Director - Open Rank University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus – Department of Child Neurology Job Title: Pediatric Neuromuscular Director - Open Rank Position #: 00830760 - Requisition: 36095 Responsibilities

Prepare the vision and direct future growth and development of the neuromuscular program at CHCO. Provide ongoing follow-up care in clinic and by phone for neurology patients; participate in doctor-of-the-week service initiatives. Collaborate in patient care with staff neurologists as appropriate. Teach clinical care concepts to NPs, PAs, Residents and RNs. Duties in this faculty position include teaching, clinical, scholarly and service responsibilities. Work onsite at CU Anschutz in Aurora, Colorado. Work Location

Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Professor: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine; Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology; 0-3 years of attending experience and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of assistant professor rank; experience with program development, teaching or research commensurate with assistant professor rank; examples of scholarship commensurate with assistant professor rank; DEA certificate; ability to obtain Colorado Medical License. Associate Professor

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine; Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology; 4 or more years of attending experience and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of associate professor rank; experience with program development, teaching or research commensurate with associate professor rank; examples of scholarship commensurate with associate professor rank; DEA certificate; ability to obtain Colorado Medical License. Professor

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine; Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology; DEA certificate; ability to obtain Colorado medical license; 7 or more years of attending experience and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of professor rank; experience with program development, teaching or research commensurate with professor rank; examples of scholarship commensurate with professor rank. Conditions of Employment

Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado. Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check. Selected Notes

Experience building a pediatric neuromuscular program. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide high-quality patient care. Ability to diagnose and treat patients with neurological diagnoses. Knowledge and desire to specialize in inpatient diagnoses and treatment. How to Apply

Salary ranges vary by rank: Assistant Professor: $215,000-$235,000; Associate Professor: $240,000-$260,000; Professor: $270,000-$310,000.
