Overview DSHS's Behavioral Health & Habilitation Administration (BHHA) is seeking a

Clinical Services Manager

to oversee the civil commitment program at Behavioral Health and Treatment Centers - Maple Lane located in Grand Mound, WA, near Chehalis. This is an opportunity to lead and supervise an interdisciplinary team within a well-functioning therapeutic environment and provide excellent treatment to assist residents in their progress toward psychiatric stability and recovery. You will collaborate and coordinate with the psychiatric provider to be a co-petitioner on civil commitment petitions and/or less restrictive alternative petitions. Reporting to the BHTC Chief Clinical Officer, you will provide effective oversight to maintain compliance with certification and evidence-based treatment standards, state and federal regulations, and agency/division requirements. You will also provide reliable guidance, consultation, and clinical assistance in the development and implementation of behavioral health treatment center policies and procedures related to clinical services.

A flexible work schedule may be considered for this on-site administrative role, with one telework day per week. Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise psychologist 4s and psychiatric social worker 4s who oversee psychology associates, psychiatric social workers, and recreation specialists.

As court-liaison, complete treatment declarations and serve as co-petitioner with the psychiatric provider.

Provide clinical leadership to Program Specialists and Institutional Counselors.

Ensure the quality of evidence-based clinical services is maintained through individual and group supervision.

Conduct annual performance reviews for staff under direct supervision, including establishing specific professional development goals.

Provide guidance to ensure clinical records are accurate, current, and meet licensing regulations and policy.

Provide consultation and support to staff, including being available for debriefing about difficult situations.

Provide backup clinical care to residents when assigned staff are unavailable.

Provide information to leadership about in-service training offered to staff, ensuring it meets licensure standards and clinical needs.

Participate in and actively support community advisory committees and needs assessments. Implement and maintain procedures to evaluate programs and services, including BHHA Strategic Plan/Results Map workgroups.

Qualifications Licensed Psychologists with a PsyD and post-doctoral experience in clinical assessment. Concurrent experience should include:

Familiarity with providing evidence-based treatment to clients.

Experience managing others and providing clinical supervision to professional staff.

Knowledge of the civil commitment process, regulations, and petition work is preferred.
