DSHS CSTC Psychologist 4 — The Department of Social and Health Services Child Study & Treatment Center (CSTC) is seeking a Psychologist 4 to join our Psychology Department at CSTC. CSTC is a 47-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital, providing inpatient care for children and adolescents from across the State of Washington. In addition to directing the clinical treatment program for the milieu, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy. You will also grow as a leader with responsibility for training the Psychiatric Child Care Counselor series (PCCC 1, PCCC 2) as well as supervision of the cottage Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW 3). Every day is unique and rewarding; our children will keep you engaged. This position is eligible as a 12-month In-Training opportunity for those with a doctorate who are not yet licensed. If selected as an in-training candidate you will work as a Psychologist 3. You will perform duties as a Child and Adolescent Psychologist under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist, gaining clinical evaluation, treatment, child development, assessment, and supervisory experience. Upon successful completion of the formal training plan, you will advance from Psychologist 3 to Psychologist 4 once licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Washington has been obtained. As a member of the CSTC Leadership Team, you can aspire to grow in this role and leave a legacy by developing center staff and making changes to fit the needs of our patients. You will assess the quality of the cottage milieu and consult with each member to ensure a safe and effective milieu, understanding your treatment team’s strengths and opportunities for growth.
