The Atlanta Hawks are looking for an innovative and visionary leader of the Entertainment department. The primary role is to lead all in-game Hawks performance teams, talent, and special halftime entertainment, and to identify new and fresh creative opportunities to bring next-gen experiences to fans. The role centers on bringing True to Atlanta talent to center court for NBA home games at State Farm Arena. Vision, creativity, and proactive leadership are critical to helping our Live Entertainment and Production (LEP) team redefine entertainment in the NBA. This position will oversee all full-time and part-time staff in the Entertainment department, including performance teams (Dance teams, Dunk team, Drummers, Brand Ambassadors, etc.) as well as Host, PA and DJ talent. We aim to continually expand our talent roster across all areas and evolve the True to Atlanta brand voice for home games and events across the city. The South Got Something to Say. This role will amplify that message and voice. Responsibilities
Develop entertainment strategy for live Hawks games and events that create memorable experiences for fans and partners. Lead Entertainment staff with direction and vision for overall entertainment goals, and help recruit and develop existing and new world-class game entertainment performance teams and talent. Identify and recruit top talent in the city of Atlanta to perform during timeouts at Hawks home games. Collaborate with LEP, Event Booking and Marketing to identify and book top-tier halftime performances that generate buzz, drive ticket sales, deliver high-caliber entertainment, and appeal to future fan audiences. Work with Marketing to leverage all talent, teams and performances across social media. Identify next-gen talent for Host, DJ and PA positions to build the roster for events, games and appearances. Coordinate with Game Presentation and Live Production teams to execute a world-class Entertainment Experience at State Farm Arena and at select events around the city. Stay on top of current trends in entertainment, pop culture and relevant social media, especially in Atlanta. Collaborate with LEP, Marketing and Revenue teams to align on marketing/revenue/community event strategy and execution, using Hawks entertainment to amplify activities at SFA and around the city. Manage the fiscal budget and operate within seasonal targets. Qualifications
Well-connected in the entertainment, music and performance industries in Atlanta and across the US. Experience managing full-time and Part-time staff in a sports and/or entertainment environment. Experience negotiating contracts with artists and management. Highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and a self-starter. Experience managing a budget. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Willing to work nights and weekends as necessary.
