The pay range per hour is $22.25 - $37.80. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and, in some cases, education, work experience and certifications. Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, merchandised and available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team also leads inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and pricing processes for all areas of the store. This team may also lead Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery of merchandise to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. Role context

The role of a General Merchandise Team Leader provides the skills and experience of: Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies Leading a team by planning department daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals Leading a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent Coaching and training hourly team members to build a team with direction from your direct leader Responsibilities

Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, setting and updating merchandise on sales floor displays, sampling, promotions and price changes Educate the team on operational procedures such as merchandising setup, stock management, and maintaining sales floor areas to influence inventory accuracy and profitability Assist in identifying gaps in GM processes and develop plans to resolve them with your direct leader’s guidance Act as an expert of operations, accuracy, process and efficiency Lead daily execution of tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and placing promotional signs for GM areas Assist with inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and maintenance, and pricing for all store areas Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns Help establish clear goals and hold team members accountable to expectations Lead pick, pack and ship fulfillment work accurately (where applicable) and address fulfillment reporting gaps Collaborate with all teams and leaders to identify key priorities and ensure the store is guest-ready under leadership direction Stay informed about relevant trends and products to educate team members via Target communications Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team; support onboarding and coaching to close skill gaps Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends) Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct; maintain safety and compliance; model a safety culture and report injuries timely Model and execute physical security processes to enhance in-store security Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store Greet guests and assist with tasks to create a welcoming experience; engage with guests to solve their needs; thank guests for shopping at Target If applicable, follow safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier Address all store emergency and compliance needs All other duties based on business needs What We Are Looking For
