Senior Software Test Engineer (GMD Weapon Systems) - Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Full-Time | Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off)
Moseley Technical Services
is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will support the program's GSS IPT, and will be responsible for scheduling the tests for execution and to monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, as well as adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.
Responsibilities
Schedule, execute, and monitor testing for the Ground Systems Segment (GSS) Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Develop and implement test plans, integration plans, and procedures for system-level integration.
Track and report on test progress, quality status, and results, adapting the test approach based on evolving conditions.
Analyze test outcomes against technical requirements and guidance, adjusting test criteria and documentation accordingly.
Utilize tools such as Eggplant, Gitlab, and Bitbucket to support test automation and version control.
Collaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, and integration teams to support test readiness and execution.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance required
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field
5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s, 3+ years with a Master’s, or 1+ years with a PhD
Proven experience in:
System-level test planning and execution
C++ development
Python and scripting languages
Test criteria development based on technical requirements
Eggplant automation tools
Gitlab, Cucumber or Bitbucket version control systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance
Security+ Certification
Prior experience with:
Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) or Missile Defense programs
Cameo modeling tool
Java development
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
