Email Marketing & Sourcing Associate Start Date:

$65k – $80k base salary + meaningful commission structure The Email Marketing & Sourcing Associate will lead email marketing and deal origination for new investment opportunities and work directly with the firm’s Vice Presidents. This role is the only position in the firm exclusively focused on sourcing new investment opportunities.

Our Challenge & How We Need Help
We manage a network of ~1,500 intermediaries who bring ~1,200 investment opportunities each year. Relationships vary in size, sophistication, and focus, making it difficult to engage consistently. We also develop investment themes to drive direct engagement, build trust with our firm and brand, and source proprietary, off-market opportunities. With a lean team, we are limited in fully leveraging these channels today. We need to build a scalable communication platform to stay connected with the intermediary network and deepen reach with business owners. The role will ensure outreach is consistent, targeted, and value-added, strengthening deal flow volume and quality.
Role Objectives
The efforts center on two core objectives:
Increase Inbound Volume
Montage reviews ~1,200 potential investments per year; the goal is to ensure we see every applicable deal that comes to market and be more selective in opportunities pursued.
Support Thematic Investing Efforts
Assist deal teams with specific investment themes and develop strategies to engage intermediaries and business owners.
Key Responsibilities Lead the firm’s email outreach efforts: build/manage list segments, evergreen sequences, and monthly blocks; run cold and warm email campaigns.
Actively manage campaign performance: create monthly KPI reports; enforce plain-text practices; manage sender reputation and compliance; maintain playbooks and QA checklists; perform continuous improvement through A/B testing; manage technical configurations (subdomains, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, tracking, etc.)
Oversee verification, dedupe, enrichment; maintain Do Not Contact, global suppression, and frequency preferences across tools and CRM
Build/maintain workflows for reply intent, suppression sync, and calendar routing to VPs
Maintain the firm’s CRM: identify/add new deal origination intermediaries; ensure accurate contact info and reporting views
Serve as the top-of-funnel contact for new opportunities: initial outreach with intermediaries; develop relationship management skills; monitor deal opportunities from various sources; support internship program as needed
Demonstrate Montage’s values and culture; uphold integrity, accountability, and attention to detail; contribute ideas; display high energy, strong communication, and growth mindset
Qualifications & Qualities
2-4 years of total professional work experience
Experience in email marketing, especially high-volume campaigns
Relationship management is a plus but not required
Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills; able to work in a small, growing team
High integrity and accountability; detail-oriented with a growth mindset
