We fulfill our mission through counseling, education, and advocacy, primarily in the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul area. The Family Partnership was founded in 1878 as the Minneapolis Humane Society to protect and serve children that were being abused or exploited. Over the years, our work has evolved to address the needs of families and individuals, including those who are most vulnerable in our community. Wages and Benefits $19.00 - $22.00 per hour; $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment; Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). The Family Partnership sponsors a retirement plan with a tiered vesting schedule based on years of service, plus a 2% employer contribution after one year of service. Schedule This is a temporary, full-time position that may include some evening and weekend hours. Funding for this position is expected through August 31, 2026. A Typical Day in the Life… A typical day as The Family Partnership’s PRIDE Drop-In Resource Engagement Coordinator involves offering support, crisis intervention, and advocacy to individuals who are victims of sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. The position includes building partnerships to identify resources and ensuring the consistent availability of food and supplies. Other responsibilities include the following: Providing crisis intervention, support, information, and referrals to PRIDE Drop-In participants. Providing case management–style support to participants in the Drop-In space. Working in partnership with the Drop-In Coordinator on day-to-day tasks. Connecting clients with community resources and assisting clients in using resources. Assisting clients in obtaining housing. Coordinating services between the client, probation officers, social workers, treatment centers, shelter teams, therapists, and medical professionals. Assisting participants with the use of the PRIDE Drop-In clothing closet, laundry, respite room, and shower as needed. Providing Drop-In space orientation to all new participants, explaining usage of facilities and appliances (e.g., microwave, toaster oven). Engaging in activities with participants as needed (e.g., board games, arts and crafts, watching TV). Creating and maintaining a safe space by ensuring participants follow Drop-In center guidelines. Maintaining an orderly and up-to-date supply inventory and coordinating restock requests with designated program staff. Maintaining a supply of standard forms, promotional pieces, and documents. Setting up and cleaning up PRIDE Drop-In rooms. Reporting major repair needs or equipment failures to the Office Manager. Documenting Drop-In center attendance, participant activities, usage, and engagement. Maintaining and fostering relationships with partner organizations that may provide resources to program participants. Who You Are You have an associate’s degree in human services, social work, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. You have one year of experience providing case management–style support to participants in a drop-in setting. You have one year of experience engaging and mentoring unsheltered individuals and/or survivors of sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. You value survivor experience and are encouraged to apply if you are a survivor of trafficking. You are skilled in facilitating groups with individuals of diverse ages, comprehension levels, and learning styles. You are able to work evening and weekend hours as needed. You are able to write in English with correct grammar for client case notes and written documents on behalf of the client. You understand the issues important to urban, low-income communities, communities of color, LGBTQIA+ communities, and other oppressed or vulnerable populations. You have knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency concerns when working with at-risk populations. You demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate others, develop professional relationships, and collaborate with other staff. You are able to maintain client confidentiality. You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet the organization’s driving record requirements. If the license was not issued in Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident to apply for a Minnesota driver’s license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
