Production Superintendent
Position Overview
The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production facility, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves managing the production team, optimizing processes, and coordinating with other departments to enhance productivity and efficiency in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all production activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage and train production staff, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing team performance.
- Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Develop and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and conducting regular safety audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a large team.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
