Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, analyzing blueprints, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project blueprints and specifications
  • Conduct takeoffs for materials and labor to ensure accurate bid proposals
  • Analyze RFI (Request for Information) and respond to inquiries from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines
  • Review and modify bids based on project changes and client feedback
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and project correspondence
  • Assist in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers for specific projects

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction
  • Strong skills in takeoffs and estimating
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Experience with preparing bids and proposals
  • Familiarity with RFI processes and project documentation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
