Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Environmental Aide performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain all areas of the hospital in a clean, sanitary manner and presents a safe, attractive environment for patients, visitors and staff. The Environmental Aide may be required to work outside of the regularly scheduled work area or take on additional responsibilities to meet the needs of the hospital at any time. The Environmental Aide must develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff while also promoting the hospital's values and mission statement.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1 year recent work experience

Ability to read and write legibly and understand written and /or verbal instructions

Maintaining good working relationships with all hospital departments by providing service and open communications

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in hospital housekeeping or institutional environmental service

$28.35 - $32.28 /hour
