Job Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and shipping inbound and outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and quality, organizing incoming materials, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities include operating forklifts safely, cleaning equipment, and adhering to sanitation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety and safety standards are followed, participate in safety training, and ensure compliance with regulations (SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA).
• Properly load and ship orders, verify quantities, and communicate discrepancies.
• Complete and verify paperwork related to shipments and inventory.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, store materials properly, and package finished products.
• Load products into trucks and manage raw materials shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment and perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Use RF guns and label printers, report equipment issues, and follow SQF guidelines.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience and operating forklifts.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory software.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient communication, math, and computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment.

Working Conditions

• Standing, walking, and operating equipment in various temperatures and noise levels.
