Physician (Psychiatrist - Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program) EDRP, Recruitment/Relocation Full-time position for a Psychiatrist in the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) within the VA North Texas Health Care System, Mental Health Service (VANTHCS MHS) in Dallas, Texas. This is an open continuous announcement; it remains open until November 07, 2025, or until all positions are filled. First cut-off date is October 13, 2025. Provide comprehensive psychiatric medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to RRTP patients, a residential program for Veterans with addictions and substance use disorders. Perform general outpatient psychiatry and addiction psychiatry duties, including diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. Manage a broad range of clinical problems such as substance use disorders, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders; PTSD; and psychiatric conditions in older Veterans. Collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team at the Dallas VA Medical Center and with the larger RRTP team at VANTHCS. Mentor/educate medical students, psychiatry residents, and addiction psychiatry fellows; provide clinical supervision for health care professionals (e.g., Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants). May serve as a formal collaborator for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Qualifications

Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited per VA policy). Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a school approved by the VA for the year of graduation. License: Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Residency Training: Completion of residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility. VA faculty may require board certification for certain positions. English Proficiency: Proficiency in written and spoken English. Other conditions: U.S. citizenship eligibility, background check, pre-employment requirements, and ability to pass pre-employment physical examination. Preferred Experience: ABPN board certification or eligible; addiction treatment experience; board certification/eligibility in Addiction Psychiatry. Note:
