We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations to join our team of talented professionals.
The Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations is responsible for building relationships and securing philanthropic support in the corporate and foundation communities with special emphasis on the City of Detroit. Reports to the Senior Director, Philanthropy & Communications. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; however, specific tasks and/or processes require additional hours including evenings and weekends.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (nonprofit management, sales, communications, marketing, philanthropy, business administration). Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising with a proven track record of success. Demonstrated experience in major gift solicitation, stewardship and relationship management. Ability to foster new relationships and engage prospective donors in meaningful/inspiring ways. Strong knowledge of the foundation and corporate giving landscape, especially in the City of Detroit. Proven track record of closing 5 and 6-figure gifts. Ability to utilize Moves Management to enhance and cultivate donor relationships and outcomes. Adept at drafting fundraising proposals, grants, and funding reports. Strong understanding of a comprehensive fund development program and how corporate/foundation relations supports all facets. Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills and ability to work with a variety of external and internal audiences including volunteers, community leaders, clients, staff, donors and prospects. Knowledge of capital campaigns, with direct experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and to function well under pressure. Demonstrable experience in establishing fundraising relationships. Computer literate, with a working proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to work positively and cooperatively with supervisor, colleagues and all other agency personnel.
