STIPEND OPPORTUNITY: Transition Assessment The Office of Specialized Services is seeking a special education teacher that can complete a Transition Assessment for a student placed in an Out of District placement. The assessment must be individualized to the student’s needs and include: The TPI 3 and ONet as well as other assessments depending on the vision, current student performance, work and life experiences, need and transition related goals. An interview and observation of the student in his current placement is also required. A summary of findings and recommendations will be based on the data gathered as well as an interview with the student and a review of available records and student performance. Presentation of findings at the student’s IEP meeting is also required. Required Travel: The candidate will have to travel outside of the City of Boston to complete the assessment. Terms: Each completed transition assessment will be compensated at $600 At the discretion of the OSS Deputy Chief, travel costs (mileage, parking, public transportation fees) will be reimbursed in accordance with the existing BPS policy. At the discretion of the OSS Deputy Chief, travel time will be reimbursed at the negotiated hourly rate.
