$68,640.00/yr - $73,250.00/yr Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting operations by performing routine accounting functions. This position will also assist in month-end close and variance review processes, assist with troubleshooting, identify and implement process improvements, and support the completion of department projects. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

Four-year college degree in Accounting or Business (with an emphasis in Accounting) or unrelated four-year college degree plus 4 years of financial industry experience, or 6 plus years of financial industry accounting experience. Experience using 10 key calculating and other keyboard equipment Demonstrated knowledge of basic math and accounting principles Intermediate level computer skills in Excel and Word Good analytical and research skills Good organizational skills Good writing and communication skills Attention to detail Excel and Symitar experience highly preferred Works independently Interpersonal skills The ability to process a large volume of work within tight deadlines and with a high level of proficiency and accuracy Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Perform routine accounting functions, including a wide range of balancing activities, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. Monitor and manage ATM and branch cash needs; manage ATM replenishment schedule; support branches in their orders and place orders for cash from the Federal Reserve as needed; coordinate with armored car and cash vault service provider to ensure smooth operations. Perform key balancing and reconciliations such as the Federal Reserve Bank, vault cash, ATM check deposits, mobile deposits, VISA and ATM settlement, check 21 and ATM (BNA) cash deposits. Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders to enable them to provide great service to members. Support system development and process improvements. Assist auditors by gathering information and performing a walk-through of processes. Perform month end close processes: Prepare and post journal entries, complete various general ledger account reconciliations, support variance analysis. Prepare and update policies and procedures. Perform general research and other administrative duties. Participate in AML/BSA compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union AML/BSA policy and procedures including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and refer suspicious activity to the Compliance Department, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with Branch Operations procedures. Other Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all established safety and security guidelines set forth by the organization. Cross-train and maintain knowledge on assigned back-up duties; Assist and back-up team members as needed; Maintain quality service standards set by the organization. Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Monday-Friday: 8:00am/5:00pm. Full Time – 40 hours a week Seniority level
