Search Engine Optimization Manager (Remote US) – Future Opening at Directive. This is a client-facing, strategic role focused on crafting and managing SEO and content strategies within a B2B tech/SaaS context. The target is to elevate search visibility, develop compelling content, and deliver measurable value for enterprise clients. This role is internally titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO. Directive Consulting is a leading B2B performance marketing agency that delivers real revenue through Customer Generation and a full suite of services from Paid Media and SEO to CRO, RevOps, and Go-To-Market Strategy. This position may be remote in the US with potential for occasional in-person collaboration. What You’ll Do

Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices to achieve NSMs. Build the initial client strategy from project phase and continuously optimize based on client goals, campaigns, and performance while adhering to Directive best practices. Collaborate with Associate Director (AsD) on roadblocks and goal attainment. Content and Campaign Ideation: Craft creative briefs and content campaigns using competitor and audience insights to drive success. Key Methodologies: Apply LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production to inform strategy. Goal Setting: Use data to set client goals, approved by the Associate Director (AsD). Data sources include Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs. Project Management: Ensure strategic execution using Asana, delegate tasks to team members and clients, and coordinate with Project Managers to meet deadlines. Work with content writers and designers to deliver on time and to client standards. Communication: Act as the primary interface with clients and internal teams. Proactively communicate timelines, progress, and deliverables, and report roadblocks or opportunities to internal leadership and clients. Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact to clients (bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly) and conduct 2 bi-annual business reviews. Include NSM progress and ongoing deliverables in client meetings. What You’ll Bring

Proven track record implementing SEO principles, content strategy, keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building. Analytical skills to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics with tools like Google Analytics. Strong communication and client-facing skills with key stakeholders. Familiarity with industry tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog). Excellent organizational, project, and time management abilities. Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content. Agency experience is required. B2B tech and/or SaaS experience is required. Goals

NSM Attainment: 100% MRR Retention: 96% CSAT > 4.2 Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals Strategists should regularly seek opportunities for client growth, such as expanding to additional service lines or increasing budgets; referrals should be pursued at key moments (e.g., changes in point of contact, new roles).
