About The Role The Content Strategist is a crucial, client-facing role that is responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating both with clients and internal stakeholders. The Strategist is responsible for more Enterprise clients and is expected to have a deep understanding of their service line and how it impacts other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy. Please note: internally, this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO. What You'll Do Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices for clients to achieve NSMs. Build initial client strategy from project phase and optimize over the lifetime of the client while adhering to Directive best practices. Work with the Associate Director (AsD) to address roadblocks and achieve goals. Content and Campaign Ideation: Craft creative briefs and content campaigns with insights from competitors and audiences. Use Best Practices to position clients to exceed goals (LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, Content Production). Goal Setting: Use data to set client goals, approved by the Associate Director (AsD) in meetings. Data Sources: Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs. All goals must be approved by the AsD. Project Management: Ensure strategy execution and clear task ownership using Asana; delegate to Specialists and clients as needed; coordinate with Project Managers to meet timelines; collaborate with content writers and designers to ensure quality and timely delivery. Internal and External Communication: Serve as the main interface with clients and internal teams. Build relationships with clients and proactively communicate timelines, progress, and deliverables; inform leadership of roadblocks and growth opportunities. Reporting: Regularly report on progress and impact, including bi-weekly client meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and bi-annual business reviews. What You'll Bring A proven track record in implementing SEO principles and content strategy (keyword research, on-page optimization, link building). Analytical insight to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using Google Analytics and related tools. Strong communication skills with client-facing experience and stakeholder management. Familiarity with industry tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog). Strong organizational, project and time management skills. Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO and content. Agency experience required. B2B tech and/or SaaS experience required. Goals NSM Attainment: 100% MRR Retainment: 96% CSAT > 4.2 Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals: Strategists should identify opportunities for client growth, including expanding services or budgets, and should ask for referrals at key moments. Work Environment Requirements As a remote-first company, you can work from anywhere in the US, with optional offices in Irvine, CA. Global opportunities may be available where we have established operations (Canada, UK, Australia). For global locations, you must have work authorization and reside in that country. This role may be performed 100% virtually from your home office. Collaboration occurs via Zoom and Slack. You will need a laptop (PC or Mac), necessary software, and reliable internet access.
