Overview
West Monroe is seeking entry-level Software Consultants to join our Software team within Technology and Experience (TechEx) Practice. Software Consultants work across diverse industries such as startups, finance, healthcare, insurance, and energy. As a Software Consultant, you will work directly with a product team to understand our clients’ business needs and strategies, delivering solutions that range from bond trading platforms integrated with various AI models to web-based and native mobile applications. You will design, build, and deliver solutions while collaborating with experienced professionals in software engineering, product development and consulting, working alongside senior software engineers, product managers, designers and executives. This role offers the opportunity to lead workstreams, contribute to high-impact projects, and continuously grow your technical and consulting skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to design and develop software applications
Work closely with clients to understand their business needs
Utilize an Agile approach for iterative product delivery
Experience and Skills You will gain proficiency and hands-on experience with a range of our key technologies: (previous experience is not required)
Back-end: C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, Python
Front-end: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, VueJS, HTML5, CSS3
Mobile: Swift, Kotlin
Database: SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
You will learn and work with several of the following patterns & tools: (previous experience is not required)
Patterns: MVC, MVVM, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST, GraphQL
Source Control: Git, Azure DevOps
DevOps Tooling: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
Package Management: Bower, NPM, Yarn, NuGet
Testing: XUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, Karma, JUnit, RSpec

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026
Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model
Ability and willingness to travel Monday – Thursday (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe
