Master Data Governance/Management - Senior - Consulting - Location OPEN. EY’s Analytics and Data team seeks a Senior focusing on helping clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. The role requires defining a master data management design and delivering system implementations, guiding clients through adoption of advanced technologies. The position may require regular travel to meet with external clients. Location: Anywhere in the country. Your Key Responsibilities
Designing and implementing data governance frameworks that align with business objectives. Collaborating with stakeholders to build analytics solutions that deliver tangible business value. Conducting maturity assessments to enhance data management capabilities across the organization. Developing solutions to complex problems, including functional and technical design of master data management software. Exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Guiding clients in defining a data governance strategy including data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, data readiness for AI/ML, and alignment to ERP/CRM applications. Data integrity assurance: implementing data quality tools and processes to maintain high data standards. Engaging in requirement gathering, interpreting BRDs, and collaborating with system analysts to develop source-to-target mappings. Performing data validation and preparing detailed technical specifications aligned with BRDs for data migrations to data warehouses. Leading multiple engagements simultaneously to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction. Occasional international travel to meet client needs. Skills And Attributes For Success
Strong understanding of data privacy and governance principles. Experience in enterprise strategy and data management. Proficiency in metadata management and ontology design. Excellent communication skills for conveying complex information clearly. Emotional agility and ability to collaborate in hybrid environments. Knowledge of future industry trends and ability to articulate them to customers. Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS and Azure). Strong leadership and ability to drive business outcomes and articulate complex issues. Ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts. Demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management. Strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or related technical field. Minimum of 3 years direct experience with MDM tools including SAP MDG and/or Informatica MDM. ERP implementation experience including full SAP implementation cycles with SAP MDG as a component. Typically, at least 3 years of relevant developer experience in master data management software. Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and Enterprise IT Architecture. A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel internationally to meet client needs. Track record of successful stakeholder engagement. Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience with complex problem-solving and critical thinking. Track record of driving outcomes in collaborative environments. Familiarity with digital fluency and hybrid collaboration tools. Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranges. The base salary range for this job across all US locations is $106,900 to $176,500; for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) the range is $128,400 to $200,600. Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off. Hybrid work model: most client-serving roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over an engagement or year.
