Overview

A leading renewable energy company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving capital planning, financial strategy, and operational excellence to support profitable growth and successful project execution. This individual will maximize enterprise value through strong financial management, investor readiness, and risk mitigation, while ensuring the company’s financial infrastructure supports scalability. Base pay range

$240,000.00/yr - $270,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities

Capital Planning & Fundraising

– Oversee capital structure, project financing, and fundraising efforts (debt, equity, tax equity); manage banking and investor relationships. Financial Reporting & Compliance

– Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and investor requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting

– Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning aligned with strategic initiatives and project pipeline. Team Leadership & Development

– Build and manage the finance and accounting team; strengthen internal capabilities, controls, and reporting processes. Risk Management & Governance

– Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks while ensuring robust internal controls. Operational Support

– Partner with development, construction, and operations teams to optimize project-level financial performance, pricing, and cost management. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years as CFO or senior finance executive in a project-based or capital-intensive industry. Proven track record in renewable energy, infrastructure, EPC, or construction sectors. Strong expertise in project finance, capital structuring, and M&A. Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards. Proficiency in ERP systems, forecasting tools, and advanced Excel. High integrity, with demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Preferred

MBA or CFA. Experience leading tax equity financing and M&A transactions. Seniority level
